About This Blog
Hi my name is Felicia, the author of this blog!
I have always been a foodie, and I am constantly creating something in the kitchen. I do it out of joy, love, and pleasure. It is a way to unwind, to see the joy it brings to others, and the feeling I get when everyone enjoys the food I made. I am also very passionate about fitness and alternative health!
My goal for this blog is to incorporate a little bit of everything:
-my passion and love for food + recipes
-workouts
-living life on my mini farm
-traveling
-photography
-acupuncture + alternative health
I hope to provide my thoughts and ideas about health and wellness, and that at least one person will benefit from it. Thanks for reading and stopping by

Hi Felicia,
I am so happy to have found your blog. I read your story and I connected with it on a few levels: though I was not a star athlete I did play sports throughout middle school and high school and I remember the days when I didn’t worry about my body, calories, or how much food I was eating. In high school, however, I began to get much more body conscious and I have gone through cycles of putting weight on, restricting calories and loosing weight, and then putting it back on. I am now in college and I am trying very hard to deal with my stress eating and my often negative body image. I just find it hard to balance school work and exercise and my biggest problem is eating when I am stressed.
The other connection we have is our passion for alternative healing methods and holistic health. I have recently started meditating, though I haven’t been able to keep to a firm schedule yet. I am trying to create my own major called Wellness to study all of the aspects of health. One day I would like to help people be healthier and happier.
Your story was very inspiring to me. I know you said that you are still on a journey of recovery and health, and I don’t expect to find any quick fix solution (everything worth doing takes time and effort, right? : ) but I was wondering if you have any advice for me in dealing with eating and stress. I feel that I have lost touch a bit with my body and how to feed it correctly. I am vegan and I try to make smart diet choices, but I find myself not knowing if I am eating enough food or too much and of course, I struggle with the urge to eat when I am over stressed.
Thank you and I hope you are well!
Hi Grace- check your email
Hi Felicia, just left a comment on your old blog(?). Still I wanted to say here that your story is awesomely inspiring. I think I’m still (but on the recovery) of similar case of anxiety and depression stage due to recent years of major lifestyle shift and changes. Though all my life I have been very conscientious about healthy eating (or simply gravitate and love eating veggies and fruits) and exercise (yoga+running), I am starting to get curious about exercise program like Bodyrock. It just makes sense even though I haven’t experiemented or tried it yet! Plus I love reading about people’s results and feelings about how they feel, not just physically but mentally too. Love what you said about you don’t have to spend hours in the gym to be fit and healthy. You rock girl! Btw- great photography, and your fur children are ADORABLE!!!
Thank you Josie!! To be honest I was even hesitant about bodyrock at first, because how can a short workout be that effective? But they work and are awesome. Definitely give it a try
Thanks for stopping by and reading!
